Victor–The Fire Dog

The other Sunday night we came home late from my parent’s house exhausted and ready to go to bed.  The dogs greeted us at the car like normal and we talked to them and they danced around while we unlocked the house and all went inside.  We did a few odds and ends for twenty or thirty minutes.  Jason had already gone to bed and I was brushing my teeth just about to join him when I finally actually looked down at Victor for the first time since we had come home.  I busted out laughing at his soot covered face! 🙂  He must have gotten into our burn pile while we were gone.  For those of you who know how close Victor sticks to me, you know I must have been tired if it took that long to notice his dirty face.  I just couldn’t resist taking a picture of it . . . obviously . . . he was not thrilled at the idea. 🙂

Here is a sweet picture of a clean dog . . . no . . . you can not take him home! 🙂

  1. yup, ya’ll must have been tired to miss that :). If he ever does need a home, just let us know. . . I’m sure Blake would be elated (as long as Mattie didn’t come with him)
